Establishing Professional Contacts

Hello fellow colleagues, if I am to understand our week 1 blog assignment, we are to review a list of Early Childhood programs, , originations, and or institutes and alike in which Dr. Walker has so graciously provided.  Once we have reviewed the list, it is also my understanding that we are to choose from the list that we find of interest to us, and begin a series of attempts to at least two of the organizations that we want to know more about and get to know those individuals within these organizations. If I have left anything out please let me know thank-you. Below is the following information thus far about the organizations/institutes in which I have chosen. So far I have chosen the following sites.
I.

I am at student at Walden University studying under the Master program of Early Childhood Studies-Administration, Management and Leadership. The course in which I am presently enrolled is “Issues and Trends in the Early Childhood Field,” my first week assignment is to try to make contact with an agency, organization or as in your case an institution, to learn about how other agencies and or originations are making a difference for the young child early development and early educational needs.  My colleagues and I were given a list of organizations, agencies, and such, after carefully reviewing the list; I felt a certain connection to National Association for the Education of Young Children

I have many years of working with families with children with developmental delays; I also own and operate a  childcare learning facility. I am very interested in maybe becoming a member of NAEYC. I am also interested in becoming familiar with the Association and what are the drives and impacts concerning the young childhood development and educational needs. Last but certainly not least, I am very much interested in getting to know those individuals who are the drive force behind NAEYC. I would appreciate it very much if I could receive a return contact call and or email at your earliest convenience thank-you very much and I am truly looking forward to hearing form an association member/staff soon.

I can be reached by telephone and or email, please feel free to contact me at any of the contact information numbers or emails. My home telephone number is (575) 636-2141; cell telephone (575) 652-2295; personal emails; bapslady@yahoo.com; koldwoods7@gmail.com; email at Walden’s University anita.coles@waldenu.edu.
